Traveling is something I enjoy, and often long to do more than actually do. Since I have quite a bit of time on my hands these days, I decided to do more and long less.
As with posts on health care, insurance, privacy and starting a company on my personal blog, I find it helpful, both to myself and to others, to share my experiences. So I created this blog as a way to document my travels, and share my experiences on the road. The inaugural trip, the Midwest Summer Tour as dubbed by Dennis Kennedy on Twitter, covers my road trip from Chicago to Oklahoma, where I stick to the Interstates on the way down, and then drive back along Route 66.
And I must give a shout out to Bill Bryson, my favorite travel writer and inspiration for this blog, and whose books I read again and again.
